How it all started...

Debbie Henshall

The owner and creator of Musical friends.

I loved being with my family and wanted to spend as much time with my children as i could, but also needed to work too.

So the big question was how could I juggle work and spend time with my children.

In 2010 Musical Friends was formed and I decided to develop my own music group for children 0-4yrs incorporating fun, laughter and play....

As a previously registered childminder for three years and a child care qualification I knew I wanted to work with children.

So with many years of dancing and performing experience behind me, along with caring for children with special needs, and over 10 years management and training experience, I thought I would put my gained skills to the test and manage my own business doing something I enjoyed and that's having fun with children, watching them laugh and have a good time, whilst developing their social skills, co-ordination, speech and language.

There was no other music group that offered the same concept. The Business went from strength to strength and with such huge demand for a fun group, Musical Friends decided to Franchise...

Created and developed in 2010.

Sue Cook: Horsham Team

My Dance Training:

I trained for 3 years at Doreen Bird College Of Performing Arts in ballet, tap, modern, jazz, singing and drama. Whilst there I also qualified as an I.S.T.D ballet and modern dance teacher.

My Dance Experience:

I have performed on TV, in the West End and toured the UK in various shows and musicals.

My son and I started coming to Debbie’s Musical Friends class when he was a year old. We both loved coming as having a boogie with the Pom Poms was the about closest I was ever getting to a night out back then. I’m really delighted to Jon the team and adding my gained experience in dance to the class.
